What an ever changing world we live in?! Don’t worry, I’m not going to get political. Unless you live under a rock you are very aware of the climate in the world right now. Instead lets catch up on some positives! Life has been moving full steam ahead in our tiny corner of the world. Kiddos have started back to school. C has opted to sign up for some honors classes as well as play volleyball! She put in some hard work over the summer and made the A team. Q signed up for recreational volleyball as well so we have some busy little bees over here. Plans for the fall…..school, sports and HOUSE PROJECTS!!!

Before I skip to upcoming plans let me start off with some completed projects. The pool was finally finished after 6 long months of actual construction but 10 months after contract. I do not recommend our pool builder at all. While I hear from almost everyone that all pool builders run behind, ours upped it a notch with no communication and poor customer service. So my only advice with a pool build is just plan for the construction to take a lot longer than they promise. But sign a contractor that is honest and great at communication.

Moving on, we had the house painted and did limewash to the brick. Finally the pink brick is gone!! I still remember the day we drove up when our house was being built. We saw the stacks of brick and immediately had concerns. But too late. Brick was here so we were stuck with it. Well 13 years later it is finally gone and what a huge difference! We are so incredibly happy with the end product!

The plan is to start renovating the fireplace and bathrooms later this fall. I have some ideas of what I am wanting to do. But any feedback is always appreciated. We seem to be in the 95% club of DIY where you finish most of the project but leave those last finishing touches to sit for awhile. So a ton of minor little projects to add to that list as well. We tend to gravitate to the white, black, and wood tones. Rustic but not. Elegant but not. Kind of a mix I suppose. Send any pictures or profile on Instagram my way to check out.
