First blog of the year and it’s mid February; can I just say it has been super busy around here?!! Holidays, changing jobs, and cheer has kept me busy busy! Luckily, one of Callie’s cheer competitions took us to Galveston for the weekend and it was a perfect mini vacation to reset my focus!

The team won first place! Woohoo!  We love cheering with Texas Elite and our cheer family! We spent some time on the beach and I got to spend some time behind my camera doing what I love!

The water was freezing cold but the kids had a blast! I don’t know how they were able to play in the water but I am so glad they had fun. I got to sit and combine a lot of my favorite things in one sitting.  My girls, the beach, the sound of the waves, and my camera.  It was glorious.  It was one of those moments that I sat there and appreciated how wonderful life is and how lucky I am. While I do this fairly frequently, it got me a little misty eyed (I can’t believe I am admitting to this) on this particular day because it was just all so perfect!

One day I will be living on the water but until then I soak in the sights, sounds, and smells every time we go to the beach.  It is one of my most favorite places to be and makes me feel so alive.  Sitting and watching the kids run around and play gives me that super mom feeling. You know, the one we all want all the time…..like you are doing it right and are the most awesome mom there could ever be.

 How sweet are these moments?! How perfect are they?! Watching Callie dance and spin and cartwheel her way across the beach.  Watching Quinn delight in the sand and seagulls with her sweet little mystified faces. My goodness, I am one lucky momma!
